Bringing her passion for science and research to the practical challenges of her profession, Silvia is engaged in several projects to further the field:

  • As a PhD candidate and Researcher with Heriot Watt University (Edinburgh/Dubai), Silvia explores Coaching Psychology in a Middle East context to enhance our understanding of coaching in cultural contexts.
  • As Lecturer in Coaching Psychology and Module Leader at University of East London (UK), she teaches current and future coaches from around the world and supports research(ers) in the field.
  • As a volunteer with the EMCC Global Research Centre for Excellence, Silvia supports the work of the EMCC to promote relevant research across coaching, mentoring and supervision and its implementation in the profession by non-academics and academics alike.
  • As a volunteer with the Middle East Psychological Association (MEPA), she aims to further the field of positive psychology in the Middle East region.

Silvia is passionate about spreading the word and learning about both the science, practice and benefits of coaching and wellbeing. She is the author of several peer-reviewed academic journal articles and book chapters. In addition, she is a regular speaker at international conferences, facilitator and presenter.

Her upcoming book "7 Perspectives, Many World", co-authored with Valerie Huard, provides Supervisors with a culturally-inspired tool for creative tool for coaching supervision.
